This app is dedicated to one of the most appreciated episodes of the 14th Venice Architecture Biennale, namely the Elements video installation realized by the Italian architect Davide Rapp within the Rem-Koolhaas-curated Central pavilion at the Biennales Giardini.
The Elements film consists in a plotless, rapid sequence of frames from about 200 historical movies, in which the protagonists are the fifteen fundamentals of architecture, as defined by Koolhaas (the likes of Balcony, Corridor, Stair, Toilet, and Window)
Our app investigates the making process of such an original work, which has been judged by The Architectural Review as “one of the highlights from La Biennale”.
